Didactics

Most groups  choose the hybrid model. Lectures (6  hours) are experienced on-line at the convenience of the individual learner over the two months prior to the in-person meeting.  Alternatively, the 6 hours of lecture may be presented live.

Update and Q&A

Groups can choose to do this 2  hour session by zoom in some convenient evening prior to the hands-on workshop, or in-person on the morning of the workshop. Recent updates to the literature are presented and learner questions are addressed. The speaker may also present illustrative airway cases if time allows.

Hands-on workshop
(see also curriculum page)

2 or more hours are used to explore a variety of modern airway devices. The learners are invited to spend time with the devices they consider most important to their practice.  Apart from typical task trainer, this session also includes the ORsim flexible intubation scope simulator as well as a 3D larynx invasive airway lab.  See Curriculum page for full list

Options: simulation

The group may add the option of full body simulated airway cases from simple cannot intubate to emergency invasive airway scenarios. There may be extra costs involved with securing simulators and expert instructors.
